For most of us grocery shopping is a weekly chore. If we could save the trip, the walking routine of going around the store the same way by just clicking a few buttons on the phone and within a couple hours have them arrive at your door would save us so much time.
Right now there are several options to choose to have groceries appear at your door. But if there is one that has large individual selection they lack usable interface. If there is an app that has beautiful UI they are usually stifled by limited amount of selection.
That's why we delivered an app that addresses the average users experience selecting their weekly groceries in a fun and pleasurable way.

By The Numbers
According to Nielsen and Food Marketing Institute (FMI), "The research indicates that in as few as five-seven years, 70% of consumers will be grocery shopping online. Now, the estimated $100 billion spend, which is equivalent to every U.S. household spending $850 online for food and beverage annually, will occur by 2022 or 2024".
Collectively, we interviewed and surveyed 20 people how they went about grocery shopping to find the best way to approach organizing content in an order as if they were in a store. What we found was that people came to the grocery store for recipes or weekly shopping needs. That's why we broke down the site map from the landing page into a search by item and search by recipe.
New Feature
We organized our content into four sections in the nav bar based on research. One of these sections is the home page which will bring the user back home to make easy recipe, item, and search selections. Next, the majority of people keep track of their orders based on a list throughout the week. The average shopper routes around the store the similar route each time so this search feature will point them in direction that is store organized. And a favorites section that most users claim they revert to week to week as an easy "add to cart".

User Interviews
What we learned interviewing 10 people was that the average grocery shopper shops once a week or once every other week. They average 20-30 items per trip. 20-30 items is a lot to have to keep track of. Not only is it a lot to remember each week but it's a lot to input each time. Having a list feature (below) is great for families or even individuals to jot down their needs throughout the week. To reduce the number of inputs we created favorites (2 below) so one can select based on previous orders.
